Falkirk Center
The Queen Anne Victorian,
built in 1888, is the only remaining example of architect Clinton Day’s
large family residences.
Owned and operated by the City of San Rafael,
Falkirk has served the community as a cultural center for over 30
years. At the heart of the center is an arts exhibition program
featuring the work of local artists and an arts education program for
elementary school children. In addition the cultural center provides
programming in the performing and literary arts, and hosts low cost
seasonal family events offering free entry for homeless children.
Falkirk is home to the Cultural Affairs Service League, the Marin
Poetry Center, Marin Literacy and the Marin Friends Group. Through a
partnership with the Marin Master Gardeners, Falkirk has
1927 greenhouse and developed several gardens that will educate the
public to native plants and wise-water use.
Your contribution will support cultural programming, historic preservation, grounds development and low cost community events.
Falkirk is also available to rent for weddings, meetings, parties and
special events.
